About us

Founded in 1983 in the historic town of Drogheda, Drogheda Water Polo Club has been proudly promoting the sport of water polo in Ireland for over four decades. From our humble beginnings to becoming a thriving club, we are united by our passion for the game, our community, and the values that have shaped us along the way.

We currently field six teams, welcoming players of all ages and abilities — from our energetic U12 mixed squad to our Junior Girls and Junior Boys teams, right up to our U19 and Senior Men's and Ladies teams. 

At Drogheda Water Polo Club, we believe in respect, discipline, teamwork, and giving maximum effort every time we enter the pool. We push ourselves to be the best we can be — but we also know that sport should be fun! Our athletes support one another, grow together, and create memories and friendships that last a lifetime.
